Speeding madly towards 60, instead of slamming on the brakes and moving to the slow lane, Leonie Clarke, star of ‘Gran In A Van’, hits the accelerator to share her wild comedic adventure about living in a campervan.
- Hear about portaloo mishaps, sinister snakes and Leonie’s irrational fear of the dark as she takes her van-full of comical stories to Bunbury! Exclusively at The Rose Hotel for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Friday the 8th of February – get in quick!
Having only done stand-up for 2 years, this Kwinana Grandma of four (who has never quite grown up herself) has always loved making others laugh with her quick wit and crazy views on life. A tiny, fun-sized bag of wrinkles and giggles, Leonie will take you on a wild journey as she skids aimlessly along on the trip of a lifetime.
“People should come along to my show because it’s fun, you’ll have a laugh and see things from the point of view of a crazy older person,” said Leonie.
Along with having a laugh, Leonie also wants to raise awareness of an incurable brain disorder that she contracted a few years back called Chiari Malformation.
“I want to show people, you’re never too old to try new things.”
It was always on Leonie’s bucket list to do stand-up and remarkably here she is… brightening up the lives of Australians as she plans to “go out with a laugh.”
This loveable lady will make you laugh uncontrollably – you’re almost guaranteed to wish she was your grandma by the end of the show. So buy a ticket and support a granny!
Tickets are $26 each and can be bought from www.bunburyfringe.com.
