The Bunbury Development Committee (BDC) is charged with growing Bunbury into WA’s vibrant second city.
The committee was formed in 2018, and oversees multiagency involvement, cross–government links and stakeholder engagement.
The Committee’s job is to “guide urban development, renewal and place–making, and facilitate opportunities for greater CBD integration” with the aim of creating better community outcomes on transformational projects.
The projects are on the initial BDC list are:
• Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront;
• Koombana Park redevelopment;
• Withers Renewal; and
• Glen Iris Liveability.
The BDC reports to the Minister for Planning and working groups have been established to support and facilitate the work of each project.
