Perth comedy troupe will make its BREC debut early next month when they bring their original shows The Big HOO – HAA and The Little HOO – HAA to South West audiences.
After forming in Fremantle 17 years ago The Big HOO – HAA , now based in Perth at Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den in the Brisbane Hotel, performs to large crowds every Saturday Night.
A regular at Fringe World Festival and The Melbourne Comedy Festival, all the performers are professionally trained and developed alongside some of the best including Sam Longley (94.5FM), Andrea Gibbs (ABC Radio) and their alumni include world-renowned comedians Tim Minchin (Matilda) and Clare Hooper (Good News Week).
The Big HOO – HAA is an interactive comedy show that uses the audience’s suggestions to create improvised comedy sketches. The show is completely improvised and every performance is unique.
- “After seeing the success of The Big HOO – HAA in Perth BREC is thrilled to bring a different form of comedy to the South West”, says Executive Director of BREC Fiona de Garis.
In 2017 The Lit tle HOO – HAA was born with the intention of bringing interactive comedy to children. Performed in the same style as The Big HOO – HAA , The Little HOO – HAA again uses audience suggestions to create spontaneous stories and sketches for kids. The Little HOO – HAA is suitable for children aged 7-13 years.
The Little HOO – HAA is playing for one night only at 6.30pm on Thursday May 9. The Big HOO – HAA follows at 7.30pm on Friday May 10.
