BREC announced today that they have been nominated as a finalist for the Western Australian Presenter of the Year in the inaugural Pinnacle Awards presented by CircuitWest, WA’s network connecting the performing arts industry.
“It is a great achievement to be shortlisted for the Pinnacle Awards. The whole BREC team work hard every day to serve the people of South West WA, by bringing them the best in performing arts from around the world, and by making sure our local artists and community members can access our exceptional facilities.” Said Fiona de Garis, Executive Director at BREC.
”We are absolutely delighted to be recognised for our efforts by performers and producers from around the State and we look forward to sharing the stage with our fellow nominees at the ceremony and have our fingers crossed for the win!” de Garis continues.
Launched earlier this year, the Pinnacle Awards recognise excellence in producing and presenting within the West Australian Performing Arts industry.
“There was widespread support for WA specific performing arts industry awards, especially as there are so many high quality but small presenters and producers that do not get involved in national or international awards.” said Ryan Taaffe, Executive Director at CircuitWest.
BREC was shortlisted as a finalist for Western Australian Presenter of the Year along with Ravensthorpe Arts Council and Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at 5pm Thursday 23rd May 2019 during CircuitWest’s annual WA Showcase conference to be held at Subiaco Arts Centre.
